Had a couple of emails sent in about this.
I’ve been using Fring on the iPhone & it will be interesting to see if the dedicated Skype app will be better. I’m back to Thailand next week so will be testing this out to the full.

I agree, much better than Fring
I live in Bangkok and bought a gray-market iPhone (from Hong Kong) at MBK a few months ago. My mobile provider is AIS. So far, everything has worked perfectly.
But… the new iPhone Skype crashes whever I try to do anything, even just an IM chat. It opens and my contacts are displayed properly, but that is all it will do. Fortunately, when it crashes, the app just terminates and nothing horrible happens, but still…
Hey Bob, I had a similar problem with fring (a similar app), go into iTunes with the iPhone connected & delete Skype. Disconnect the iPhone, turn it off & on & then reconnect & install the app again. This worked for me – so chok dee!
